Sorry for disappearing for such a long time... I've been busy with the flea (and the coming one) and work mostly. Also fighting this flu/ sore throat and major coughing.

I won't be holding fleas for the month of March and April. But I will bring in extra stocks online :) I'm working like 6 days a week and its really taking a toll on my health. I'll make up by having more promotions for these 2 months! Promise!

The coming flea this 11th of Feb, I'm sorry to disappoint you guys but I do not have new stocks as my suppliers have no stock as well! I will still have whatever I've left on hand up for sale... will be bringing in some of my ASOS and pre-loved clothes to make up for it too! Nonetheless I hope you guys will support me :) Kind of sucks when I have no new stocks to amaze you guys.

Brought my Mom to Hog's Breath at Chijmes! Mom felt a craving for steak so my brother suggested this place!
As usual my brother with the monstrous appetite had the 400gm steak, while my Mom and I each had the 300gm. My sister had the smallest 200gm (which she still couldn't finish!) Portions are huge and steaks all done perfectly! Would recommend if you're feeling carnivorous.

I've been faithfully putting them every day in the office, and after seeing how smooth and soft my cuticles were... I'm officially addicted to hand creams. Didn't receive any for Christmas, so went ahead to buy my first tube from Crabtree & Evelyn. It's a HUGE tube, which I think will last me at least a few months. Haha! If your hands are exposed to nail polish removers as much as I do, its better to adopt this habit of moisturizing.

If you ever go to Hong Kong, you have to buy this!! Its the Isoyaki Scallop from Aji Ichiban! Not sure if Singapore sells them... but I bet its gonna be expensive! Its about $75 for a huge bag of them. Freaking awesome!

Managed to get a supplier from UK who's willing to sell these Cath Kidston blackberry cases way cheaper than the usual price! They are $20 now instead of the crazy $40!! Only thing is they only come in this design and the shooting stars one! Made of oilcloth material (super sturdy!) and they fit all blackberry models! Tested them on the 9900, 9780, 9700, 9300, 8520, 8530, 9000 and the 9800! They fit snugly at first, but over time it will season out and look really nice (like how leather looks after aging a little)

Monday I almost died. It was raining the night before, so the car park grounds were wet. I slipped and fell, hit my back, almost sprained my ankle. Was so frustrated that on the same day itself, I went to buy 2 pairs of shoes and threw away the old pair. The weaved sandals from ASOS served me well. I was a little reluctant to throw it away cos' it was so pretty! (Not exactly the most comfortable) Well, this is what I get when I refuse to let the old stuff go; I get hurt.

I've been waiting 3 over months for my iPhone 4s (which my brother promised as a birthday gift). I still have about 6 weeks more before I finally get it! Was looking for nice iPhone cases the other day and chanced upon this Nautical themed case! They have so many other gorgeous designs, and I was spoilt for choice. I have already placed my order... so it should arrive before I get my phone next month :)

I have finally owned the watch I've been desiring for the longest time. A Nixon small player watch in black! Originally last year I wanted the brown one... but too bad they don't have it anymore. I was considering between the Seafoam or the Black. I really liked the mint blue one, but it was definitely hard to match! So I went ahead to buy the black one (which I found at Tangs). The original Nixon store at Ion only carried the Seafoam. And so now... I'm a proud owner of a Nixon watch :)

It's been about 12 days into the new year. Like every year, my church encourages us to put up some New Year Resolutions, and also what God wants you to do this year.

Mine is pretty simple. 2 words.

Perseverence. Discipline.

The words speak for themselves, which I find lacking in myself. I admit I'm a very weak-willed person, and sometimes I find it difficult to overcome challenges. If you're asking to what context am I applying these 2 characteristics, I would say all contexts. Spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, in my work, life, personal relationships, church, everything. It's quite a big challenge for me but together with everything else I've planned to do for this year, I'm praying God will help me through to become a person stronger than now.

It's about one more week to Chinese New Year and I'm looking forward to the flea on the 21st at Scape, followed by the holidays where I can sleep in and do my own thing :) I'm already having one reunion dinner this Saturday, am having another one with my Uncle's family next Sunday. Like every year, I don't do much visitations, so I literally enjoy the days off. Hehe.

I'm collecting the photos from my December holiday today! I hope all the pictures come out great! (Better so if some are competition standard :p) Will definitely share soon :)

And hopefully I'll be able to churn out that nail tutorial someone asked me to do on Formspring!

The gel nails I did at "Nails Studio" located in KSL Mall at JB. Don't ever go there! They didn't apply base coat and it didn't even last me for more than 3 days!

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to go for manicures when I actually can give myself one. At the salon I had such a hard time picking colours cos' all my favourite ones I already have them at home >.<

Well, its not for heavy gaming or listening to music of sorts. More for e-reading and surfing the net (like reply e-mails). Extremely happy that this has flash, and wireless is good enough for me.

I love books. But I'm running out of space to store them... And its a bad thing that I spend more money on nail polish than on books :( Hence, technology and a cheaper alternative has made me switch.

I'm heading to JB this weekend! I might have internet access but it depends. If not, I'll reply on Sunday evening!

These were the nails I did before I left for my long holiday. Used Seche Vite top coat for each layer of colour so as to speed up the drying process before I used the striping tape. Otherwise it would have taken a long time, and risk smudging them!

Like how Chinatown doesn't have a post office, or a stationery shop... We have yet to find a printer around here as well. The new office is spacious and nice... we even have our own pantry now! I kind of miss the location of the old office... I can reach there in half an hour, but now, it takes me more than an hour to reach. Furthermore the NEL line is mad crowded during peak hours. Worse than the red line. >.<

Let the eating begin!

Fish and Co on Thursday last week at Ion! I always order their New York Fish' N 'Chips cos' the fillet is stuffed with cheese :p As usual, restaurants like this serve disappointing soup. The fish chowder was bad. Too thick and starchy. If you love seafood, do try their mussels! :)

This place is no longer a secret anymore. I would put Antoinette second to TWG. They have 3 outlets, and I visited the one at Penhas Road which is in quite an ulu place near Jalan Besar. Surprisingly, there was a queue! So people were willing to drive/ travel there just for an afternoon tea. They have fantastic desserts & if you're a fan of macarons, you're in for a treat! I hear theirs is quite yummy!

Uniqlo has cheap winterwear!! And all of them are so pretty :) Anyhoo a couple of days ago when I passed by the Ion outlet, I spotted the above fleece jacket (available in other designs) for only $29.90! Sadly they ran out of Medium so I went on my way, didn't think about it very much.

But yesterday I was back there again.

And they had size Large IN THE LAST PIECE. Woah, I frantically grabbed it and chiong-ed to the cashier.

HAHAHHA. Its so warm and fuzzy! I'm gonna bring this with me during my trip.. Can cuddle during the plane and bus ride :)

My office is moving! And no, I still don't have a permanent desk.

Hence in future meet-ups, it will no longer be at City Hall MRT, 6pm. It will be at Chinatown MRT, 6pm or Dhoby Ghaut MRT, 6.30pm. Meet-up applies only for exchanges of faulty items or special cases. Otherwise, everything only goes by postage!

Its Thursday already and so far I've been mad busy with packing, chasing Singtel for the fibre installation... etc. Gosh. Can you imagine moving house is worse? So much more things to pack!

16 more days to my Ho Chi Minh City (that's in Vietnam) and Phnom Penh (that's in Cambodia) trip! Super geared up for a good year end trip especially when I've been working everyday (Sigh).

When people ask me what's there to do in these two places? I just tell them I'm only looking forward to the Cu Chi Tunnels, War Remnants, Killing Fields & other museum tours. Haha! Oh, not forgetting lots of pictures! I know it's super kua zhang, but I'm thinking of bringing like 40 rolls of film. Really just SPAM! Hahahaha. I guess if you're a history buff like me, you won't be bored la.

Will do like a "Guide to HCMC & PP" when I'm done with the trip. Heh!

Once again my 2 friends and I went back to Holland Village for their flea market to clear our old old old clothes!

When we arrived, the foreigners started digging out our stuff even before we could unpack them for display. Freaking scary! They snatch and bargain like madddd...

Don't expect to sell your stuff at like $10 and above... They will simply roll their eyes at you and mumble in their own language... So only sell stuff that you want to get rid of! We were selling ours between $0.50 to $5.

This flea market is really good for you if you wanna clear old and dusty stuff lying around your house for ages....

It was raining on and off that day, business was alright! At least I'm glad I cleared my old stuff. :)

Hi all!

Wanna spare you guys all the picspam so thought of leaving an essence of me here with a word post. Haha!

Its funny how some people assume that you have no plans in life just because
a) you are in a job that's not even related to what you study
b) you don't know what your career goal is
c) you are not in uni

Does that mean I have absolutely no plans in life?

Absolutely not! This is just an assumption with no facts.

It's weird that I am the only person who realises that almost 9/10 people I meet ask me if I am considering to take my degree. I know that papers in Singapore are important and it brings you up the social ladder. But if I feel I don't need it, then what is the point of wasting time and money which in the end I will have to pay for? It's not like I have parents who earn enough and are able support me through my education. Oh and let me clarify, I don't blame my mother for not being able to. I don't blame anyone. This "degree" bears your name. So why should your parents be paying for it? It's called filial piety my friends. I know of adults/ aunties/ uncles with their own families, who still have parents giving them money. Ridiculous! Imagine your parents way past retirement age (like 70+?) still feeding you, giving you money.

This is WRONG.

Anyway, whether I will eventually decide to take a degree is based on the 2 factors below.

Do I have the money to pay for school fees & other expenses during my course of study?
Do I need the degree? (or does my future job require one?) -- I can only answer this question after I decide on my future career.

Right now, whenever someone asks me if I intend to take my degree, I'll tell them...
"I'm waiting for God's direction to show me what He wants me to do. I mean, I have plans. To run my own business (not sure what yet), travel the world, earn money etc. But to get there, I really need God's guidance to show me one step at a time."

Honestly, I know that God has plans for me, but I don't know the precise details. And His promise to me is not fulfilled yet because He knows I'm not ready for the unveiling.

So I pray and wait. I don't mind at all. Because whatever I have and am doing now is sort of like a preparation/ stepping stone to the future. No hurry! I'm only 22 :)

This is a little late... but how was everyone's long weekends? :)

I had events back to back, ate alot and well... didn't have enough sleep. The flea on Saturday went well as expected again! Thank you! Whatever's leftover will be up for sale online... but right now the system is giving me problems! Was incredibly thankful for the PH this week! Strange but true, its only when you start working, then you will appreciate public holidays and some long weekends that come with it. Seriously, studying is so much better! :)

I have also been busy with my nails... Well, for me, doing my nails is therapeutic! The frequency of changing my nail colour has increased to twice a week. My nails dry alot faster now with the miracle SV top coat. Its freaking awesome... any obsessed nail polish people should go get one! Also, I've discovered the wonder of striping tape.... makes nail art alot easier! Will post pics in my next swatch post :)

This is what I call REAL pizza. Thin crust, no fancy base sauces, lots of cheese and generous amount of toppings! After eating this, you'll forget about eating Pizza Hut or Canadian Pizza for the next lifetime.

They have the awesomest Chocolate lava cake as well! The inside is all smooth, fudgey and warm...

I must say I'm very fortunate to be living within Domino's delivery zone :p They deliver within 30 minutes (which is pretty fast!) And also try their cinnamon bread! Everything is delicious, and I'm running out of words to say. Hahaha!

A package arrived yesterday evening, and I heard the postwoman actually waited outside my door AGAIN! I feel so bad that she's sooo nice to always do that knowing that its troublesome for me to go down to the post office to collect (they close at 6pm, and I finish work at the same time)

Ever since I bought the Milanai Jewels FX collection, I discovered that they produce neon and holographic nail polishes too! :D Per bottle was about USD3 and reviews were good! Also adding on to this order was the NYX Fat Eye Marker and a few bottles of LA Nail Art Pens.

I don't think I'll have the time to swatch all of them at one shot for you... but try googling for the pictures! They are absolutely stunning! Hehe!

And thanks to Youtube, I've figured out how to push my cuticles and get my own manicure done! Hence, popped by Watson's to get a cuticle remover gel. Will try it before this weekend... will review and see if it works!

I'm also preparing for Christmas!! Collecting my "Deck the Halls" China Glaze gift set this Saturday along with 4 OPI nail polishes. (3 of which is from the OPI Muppets collection!) :D

I've heard raving reviews of the Seche Vite fast dry top coat and thought of giving it a try! Also, I didn't know they had a ridge filling base coat which covers up imperfections of the natural nail, giving a smooth surface shine. Bought both of them from Hazel's site! Will review them too once I receive them :)

Everyone knows I love taking photographs of abandoned places... and this includes cemeteries. Although its not really "abandoned", but it classifies as some place people won't go as "death" is considered a taboo.

I discovered this place called the Bukit Brown Cemetery. It's a really really old cemetery and many of these graves belonged to the Chinese as far back as in 1919. Lee Kuan Yew's grandfather's grave is here, and so is the descendent of Confucius. Also buried here are many of the people with streets named after them (Eg. Cheang Hong Lim, Chew Boon Lay, Chew Joo Chiat, Fang Shan, Gan Eng Seng, Lee Hoon Leong, Lim Chong Pang, Mrs Lim Nee Soon, Ong Sam Leong, Ong Boon Tat Mrs Tan Cheng Siong and Tay Ho Swee)

Part of the cemetery is marked for exhumation as the Circle Line is being built.

I woke up one morning thinking it was a Saturday, and for a brief moment asked myself why am I up so early.

Well, after that I realised it was a Thursday and I had to get my lazy ass out of bed.

Sigh. All my suppliers are on holidays. So I'm really sorry but to tell you guys that there won't be pastel coloured or mixed coloured housings on sale next Saturday :( Delays in shipment and well, it won't come in time.

I have a new design for the BB9700/9780 though! Its white with gradient coloured rims and looks very pretty with the rainbow keypad! Shall do a V-tutorial once the stock arrives next week. You'll love it!

This part of Punggol is good for cycling/ blading etc! Quiet, spacious and totally in tune with nature. When I get my bike/ blades, I'll definitely go there to cruise...

There's a place there where you can do prawning too... $18/ hour for a rod, and one line. There's different small little "ponds" where you can catch prawns, crabs or fish. Saw one family barbequing crabs immediately after they were caught. Poor crab was still jiggling on the rack over the heat :( I mean I'd rather they kill it than put it through a slow death...

Since we were around the area, decided to try out this place that 煮炒来咯 recommended. I was disappointed with the salted egg prawns, although I did like the honey pork ribs. Quite expensive, plus portions were small. :(

OH. And I discovered this! If you love peanut butter as much as I do, you'll love this! It feels like they threw a whole pack of Reeses' in it!

Anyway, I'm psyched for the flea this coming Saturday. More psyched for the flea on 15 Oct! (Cos' I will be bringing the famed transparent housings & mixed colour housings for the 9700/9780) Haha! Forgetting about all the weekend hype, I have to get over and done with weekday office work first. Honestly, I'm feeling kind of lonely. Have been in this job for coming 8 months. I miss working with people, meeting new colleagues, going out for drinks and dinners after work and making friends my age. Really miss working at MOE, being carefree temp staff!

On a separate note, I'm planning to get a foldie and a pair of blades as well. Although my brother is nagging at me not to get a bike, I kind of want one badly after I saw a Cath Kidston inspired foldie! Wish me well!
